Cool Valentine's Day Inspired Treats Now at Dairy Queen

The Dairy Queen® system celebrates the most romantic month of the year with special treats including custom-decorated Valentine's Day-themed heart shaped cakes and the popular Choco Cherry Love as the featured Blizzard® of the Month for February.

Customers can choose from the original heart-shaped DQ® Cake made with a layer of luscious chocolate soft serve topped with fudge and crunch then layered with vanilla soft serve and decorated with creamy icing, or the Choco Cherry Love Blizzard Cake, a realsweetheart of a treat guaranteed to heat up romance this month. Available at Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill® restaurants nationwide beginning February 1, the Choco Cherry Love Blizzard Treat is a decadent blend of rich choco chunks and sweet cherries with creamy DQ vanilla soft serve.

"On Valentine's Day and throughout the month, the Dairy Queen system has perfected the essence of a romantic celebration highlighted by a selection of delicious cakes and a Blizzard Treat that has become one of our most popular," said Lane Schmiesing, vice president of Product & Brand Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ).

In addition to Valentine's Day cakes and the Choco Cherry Love Blizzard Treat, the Dairy Queen system also will feature its signature MooLatté® Frozen Blended Coffee Beverages in February. Flavors include caramel, mocha, cappuccino and French vanilla.

Along with Choco Cherry Love, many other Blizzard Treat flavors can be made into delicious DQ Cakes, which are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries and other celebrations, as well as Valentine's Day. The Dairy Queen system began blending simple combinations of candies, fruits, cookies, nuts and DQ soft serve in 1985 to create the signature Blizzard Treat. Since then, one-of-a-kind flavors such as Nutter Butter®, Triple Chocoholic, Midnight Truffle, Turtle Oreo®, Banana Cream Pie and Double Fudge Cookie Dough have delighted Dairy Queen fans as a featured Blizzard of the Month, a program that began in 2003.
