Little Lake George

This picture was taken on 6-18-2011 In the Ocala National Forest during our harsh 2011 wild fire season. The fire was burning in the direction of the Little Lake George sign, and Firefighters were taking all efforts to control the fire.

This picture was taken the very next day in the very same spot. (6-19-2011) As you can see the fire burned all the way to the barrier cut by the Department of Forestry the day before.

All of these pictures were taken between June 18 and June 19, 2001

This is an up close and personal encounter with some of the wildfires that have burned recently in the First Coast area. These pictures were taken in the Ocala National Forest off of Hwy 19 South. The FHP was forced to close the Highway after dark due to low visibility from the mass amounts of smoke and the threat of the fire crossing the Highway.
