Photo Gallery | Up Close Look From The Bottom of The Lake From Kenwood to Kirkpatrick Dam
PALATKA, FL- Anglers did you know.....?
The Rodman reservoir is well below it's normal levels at this time. These pictures were taken over the course of the last few months as the water levels receded during draw-down conditions at the Kenwood to Kirkpatrick Dam area.
These pictures depict the recession of the water and a rare look at the bottom of the reservoir from the makeshift boat ramp.
Starting in December, a reservoir draw-down has lowered the water levels 7 feet below normal water level for approximately 3 months, and will be refilled completely by April 15th, 2012. Temporary boat ramps will be located at Kenwood Landing, Orange Springs, and Hog Valley where anglers can launch into the Barge Canal and river channel.
Anglers should note that During the draw-down, be aware of the mandatory catch-and-release on all largemouth bass from December 1, 2011 to March 15, 2012.
More information on the Draw-down can be found in the link below.Rodman Reservoir
There are also a few pictures of other local bodies of water such as Lake George and the St. Johns River in the album that were taken over the course of the last few months as well.
