The economic scrooge may be loosening its grip on holiday cheer in the office as employers indicate their intent to offer more holiday perks (bonuses, parties, gifts) than last year. The nationwide CareerBuilder survey was conducted between August 17 and September 2, 2010 and included more than 3,600 workers and more than 2,600 employers.

Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred early Saturday evening in Orangedale. Deputies responded to the area shortly after 6:00 p.m. when the suspicious incident was

reported.

St. Augustine Police Car Rear-ended by DUI Suspect

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A woman at the wheel of a car that rear-ended a patrol car in St. Augustine has been arrested by police on suspicion of drunken driving.

The crash happened on A1A Beach Blvd. in St. Augustine around 2 a.m.

According to investigators at the scene, the woman's mother, apparently concerned about her daughter's welfare, called the St. Johns County Sheriff's office for help.  The SJSO turned to the St. Augustine Police Department for assistance.  Shortly after a BOLO report went out, a police officer saw a woman driving at a high rate of speed down the road.

The officer turned around to catch up to the driver.

The driver turned a corner and slammed into the back of another patrol car near Santander Street, just outside of Anastasia State Park.

Haunt Nights: Northeast Florida’s Newest Haunted Attraction at the Adventure Landing Jax Beach

Members of that hit TV show on the Sy-Fy Network will again be leading a paranormal investigation Friday September 24 through the Castle Warden in the Nation's Oldest City.  It will part of two investigations in two nights at two different Ripley's museums, as TAPS also travels to the Ripley's in Orlando the following night.
