The following is a list of roadwork underway by FDOT that may impact traffic in Putnam and St. Johns counties May 7 through May 13. 

Public Meeting West Augustine Road Improvements

The St. Johns County Engineering Division will host a public meeting on Monday, May 16th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Solomon Calhoun Community Center regarding an upcoming infrastructure improvement project in West Augustine.

Public Meeting on Improvements Planned for US 1 and SR 312 Intersection

The St. Johns County Engineering Division will hold a public meeting to present improvements planned for the US 1 & State Road 312 intersection. The meeting will be on Thursday, May 5th from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the meeting room of the Ponce de Leon Mall, located at 2121 US 1 South. The meeting will be an “open house” with displays for the public to view the upcoming improvements, and project staff will be available to answer questions.

FHP Investigating Train Vs. Truck Crash

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash in St. Johns County.

Witnesses said a train and a truck collided on San Sebastian View at U. S. 1 in St. Augustine, and has the roadway completely blocked.

St. Johns Fire and Rescue reported that they couldn't find anyone to transport.

The State Road 16 crossing is closed due to the train being stopped there, witnesses relayed.

Morning Wreck on IGP Closes Down Westbound Traffic

According to the SJCSO, two vehicles were involved in an early morning wreck on International Golf Parkway that sent two to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

King Street Opens for Eastbound Traffic Today

King Street between US 1 (Ponce de Leon Boulevard) and Malaga Street reopened to eastbound traffic Thursday afternoon, bringing the King Street drainage project closer to completion. While westbound traffic continued to flow along this section of King Street during the drainage improvement project, eastbound traffic was detoured a few blocks north of King Street to West Castillo Drive.
