Smoke Relocates Classes on Last Day of School

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Unsafe, smoky conditions closed Liberty Pines Academy on the final day of school Thursday.

School leaders say all students should go to Creekside High School.

Today is an early release day at 1:50 p.m. and report cards will go home today.

There was a fire drill scheduled for today at Liberty Pines. No word if that's been rescheduled.

The smoke is still thick outside the school and visibility is decreased.
