Commissioner Miner to Host Community Meetings

St. Johns County Commissioner Mark P. Miner is holding a series of community meetings to re-connect with the community following his year-long deployment with the Florida National Guard. Miner returned to his post as the District 3 Commissioner in January. Ray Quinn, who was appointed by Governor Charlie Crist, served as Commissioner during Miner’s leave of absence.

St. Johns Commissioner Meets with Residents After Deployment

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Commissioner Mark Miner wants to jump right back into the community now that he has returned from a year deployment with the Florida National Guard.

Miner took a leave of absence from his seat on the county's board of commissioners to serve overseas.  During his absence, Ray Quinn served in Miner's place.

Commissioner Miner will hold six "re-connect with the community" meetings.

Flagler College Political Guild to Host Panel on Middle East Politics

The Flagler College Political Guild will host a panel on relations between Palestine and Israel that will include former U.S. Sen. George McGovern, former CIA Clandestine Service operations officer Ron Estes and Spanish Foreign Service Ambassador Santiago Martinez-Caro. The panel will be held Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Virginia Room of the Ringhaver Student Center on Sevilla Street.

St. Johns County’s Traffic Operations Section Hosts Traffic Calming Meting, Nov. 9th

The St. Johns County’s Traffic Operations Section will host a public meeting to consider traffic concerns for the Captain’s Pointe Subdivision, located near US-1 and Shores Boulevard. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 9, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Riverview Club, 790 Christina Drive, in St. Augustine.

 

Get Out The Vote Rally UPDATE Saturday, October 30, 2010

UPDATE: The Tea Party Network is sponsoring a Get Out The Vote Rally on Saturday, October 30, 2010 beginning at 12:00 PM. The Network, an association of 24 Florida Tea Party communities from around the State has organized an event aimed at expressing the very critical message that all of us need to get out and vote in this critical election.

The Tea Party Network is sponsoring a Get Out The Vote Rally on Saturday, October 30, 2010 beginning at 12:00 PM. The Network, an association of 24 Florida Tea Party communities from around the State has organized an event aimed at expressing the very critical message that ll of us need to get out and vote in this critical election.

The event will start as a series of motorcade from the surrounding counties, making their way to a field in Clay County Florida located at 648 County Road 217, Middleburg Fl. 32234.
