'Extreme Makeover' Home Auction Canceled | News

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The foreclosure auction for a home built by crews from ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" has been canceled -- for now.

The auction scheduled for Feb. 24 at noon was canceled about three hours before it was supposed to happen.

A fax from law firm Ben-Ezra & Katz read, "Please cancel the foreclosure sale scheduled for Feb. 24, 2011 under the above case number. The plaintiff has requested to cancel the sale at this time," wrote Angela Filippides.

Willie Harvey and his family got the Hastings home in 2005 from ABC's Home Makeover team. But the home entered foreclosure because $128,000 was owed on it.

Harvey and representatives from the foreclosure firm were not available for comment. No further details were given.
