Bridge of Lions to close overnight | News

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Bridge of Lions in St. Augustine will be closed Wednesday from 9:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. Thursday for maintenance, according the Florida Department of Transportation.

While the bridge is closed traffic will be detoured to the State Road 312 bridge, said Gina Busscher, FDOT public information officer. 

Maintenance crews will be cleaning and resealing the damaged or missing bridge joint sealant at three different locations across the bridge deck.

The work should be completed Wednesday night; however, if it rains the work and closure will be canceled.
