Woman dies following scooter accident in St. Augustine | News

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A 20-year-old woman has died after St. Augustine scooter accident.

Chelsea Wantz died at Shands on October 14.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, October 13.

A 2002 Ford Taurus driven by Christopher Langford, 19, collided with Wantz's scooter as both vehicles traveled on U.S. 1 north.

Both vehicles caught fire. The scooter was destroyed.
