17-year-old dies in motorcycle crash | News

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A 17-year-old was killed Wednesday night when he ran a red light while riding his motorcycle on State Road 16.
Scott Milton, of St. Augustine, was riding his 1998 Honda motorcycle westbound on State Road 16 near International Golf Parkway around 9:45 Wednesday evening, according a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Milton ran the red light at the intersection of State Road 16 and International Golf Parkway.
When he went through the intersection he collided with a 2010 GMC Acadia SUV, which was making a left turn onto International Golf Parkway from State Road 16.
Milton was pronounced deceased at the scene by St. Johns County Fire and Rescue.
The FHP said charges are pending. The report did not list if Milton was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
