Man Captures Cell Phone Video of Fire, Explosions

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Jeff Miller has watched his video at least a hundred times.

"You see the explosion and it shakes my camera," Miller said.

He was standing just about a quarter mile from the BP gas station on S.R. 16 in St. Augustine when several explosions ricocheted booms between homes and businesses.

Miller said he filmed the fire that engulfed the convenience store until a ball of fire lit up the sky.

"Holy cow... that thing's coming over here!" Miller yelled in the video.

"It scared me a lot because of the fact that you felt like it was going to come towards you 'cause the wind was blowing our direction," Miller said.  "So, it seemed like the flame was getting larger and larger and you thought it was going to head towards us."

Miller then decided to move further back from the scene for his safety.

Lt. Jeremy Robshaw with the St. Johns County Fire Department said investigators would like anyone who shot video of the fire to drop off a copy of it at fire headquarters.
