ID=77142578ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Thousands of people will be visiting St. Augustine to experience Nights of Lights during the holiday season.

As the annual display of holiday lights grows in popularity, the city will increase parking capacity to accommodate the plethora of vehicles, the City of St. Augustine announced in a press release.

Parking near the Visitors Information Center located at 10 W. Castillo Dr. will be increased nearly 30 percent by using Francis Field and portions of the Ketterlinus Elementary School's parking lot, the city said. The additional areas will accommodate 450 vehicles in addition to the 1,200 vehicle capacity of the historic downtown parking facility. The entrance to the additional areas will be on Cordova Street – the same as the entrance to the parking facility.

The additional parking areas will be available starting Friday, December 11 and will continue on December 12, 18, 19, 24 and 28. The cost for parking will be $12 per vehicle per entry – the same as the parking facility. ParkNow Cards, the city said, will only be accepted at the parking facility.
