Stunning Holiday Light Show to Benefit Boys & Girls Club

A St. Augustine resident who has become something of a local legend for his home’s brilliant and expansive holiday lighting décor is revving up the holiday spirit and turning his light show into a festive benefit for THE PLAYERS Championship Boys & Girls Club. David Israel is the owner of Honey-Do Cleaning Service; his home in the Whisper Ridge community in western St. Johns County is well-known by friends and neighbors as one of the highlights of the holiday season. Each year, an estimated 600-700 people drive by Mr. Israel’s home to take in the lights and enjoy the season.

Faces of the First Coast 2011 Go Red For Women Casting Call

The American Heart Association’s “Go Red For Women” movement is calling on women and men who live in the region to submit their heart health stories for the 2011 “Faces of the First Coast” casting call. If chosen, applicants will become representatives of the local public awareness campaign beginning in the spring of 2011. In addition, local winners will be eligible for submission to the American Heart Association’s national “Go Red For Women” casting call. Members of the “Faces of the First Coast” work to bring the dangers, signs and symptoms of cardiovascular disease to our community. They represent, exemplify and advocate for the mission of Go Red For Women through education and awareness.

St. Augustine Community Ballet's Nutcracker: Tickets on Sale Now

A special holiday event, The St. Augustine Community Ballet’s Nutcracker will be on stage at Flagler College Auditorium from December 17 through December 19. Artistic director, Luis Abella and choreographers, Rogelio and Lydia Corrales have assembled a cast of over 50 performers that includes local talent as well as professional dancers.  Students from eleven St. Johns County schools, homeschoolers and two Palm Coast schools are in the production as well as some local St. Augustine ‘celebrities.’

The 4th annual Winter Wonderland Returns to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre

With the St. Augustine Amphitheatre’s Concert Season coming to a close, its the time of year for the beginning of North Florida’s favorite winter themed festival. Now entering its fourth year, the wildly popular Winter Wonderland festival returns to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre starting November 19th and running through January 2nd. Over the past three years more than 100,000 people have enjoyed the Holiday Season with the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and made it a part for their family tradition!
