Twelve Jacksonville companies are teaming up to pet and pamper one lucky Northeast Florida bride and groom on their wedding day.

Before you make plans to walk down your red carpet to wedded bliss, you have to register to win. “The Ultimate Wedding Package Giveaway” provides $20,000 worth of donated services. Couples can register to win at http://www.moneypages.com/Contests/Register.aspx?ContestID=144204. Registration ends on Dec. 23, 2011 and voting for the winning couple begins in January 2012.

December 11th Take a sneak-peak at the test-run of our new Solar Power system, courtesy of Solar Stik, a local high-tech company located on West King Street.  As a “partner-sponsor” of St. Augustine’s 450th Anniversary, Solar Stik has graciously volunteered to support our neighborhood by lending the Market up to 6 portable solar energy systems to power vendors, musicians, etc.  Come down and see these fabulous new units!

New Car Runs with Your Blood!

 

 

Sort of. Bloodmobile to visit Original Ripley’s Odditorium in St. Augustine – blood donors eligible to win a brand new 2012 Honda Civic!

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and The Blood Alliance are hoping your blood donation will put you behind the wheel of a new car.  The Blood Alliance Bloodmobile will be parked in front of the original Ripley’s at 19 San Marco Avenue in downtown St. Augustine from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on both Saturday, December 17 and Monday, December 19.  All blood donors will be entered into a random drawing to win the car, courtesy of Lucas Honda in Jacksonville, and will also receive free admission to the museum on those days.

Hastings Christmas Parade this Saturday, December 10

Elvis won't be there this year, but Santa will be, along with some elves and marching bands and motorcycles and horses and old cars, too.

Come enjoy the day at the 2011 Hastings Christmas Parade- The 60's-Give Peace A Chance.

The parade begins at 11 a.m. and makes its way down Main Street from East Harris and finishes up at the town hall. 

The Hastings Library will be hosting a tree decorating event and Santa will be on hand for photos.
