ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. - According to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, the Florida Forest Service has issued a Red Flag Fire Warning from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 due to high winds, low humidity, and an elevated drought index.

Residents are advised to extinguish cigarettes in ashtrays, avoid burning trash in yards and refrain from lighting outdoor fires.

The Red Flag Alert applies to Flagler, St. Johns, and Volusia counties.
