Two World Golf Village Teens and Jacksonville Woman Busted Car Hopping

Two adults and one minor have been charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor theft after allegedly stealing a credit card and checkbook out of a car, police said.

Man Arrested for DUI Manslaughter in Fatal Jan. Wreck

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A 43-year old St. Johns County man was arrested today on a charge of DUI manslaughter stemming from a two-vehicle crash that occurred this past January.

According to a news release from the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, Trevor Wayne McMullen, 43, was arrested today by U.S. Marshalls at a home in the 3500 block of Bowden Circle East in Jacksonville, on charges of DUI manslaughter.

Police said that around 6 p.m. Jan. 27 McMullen's was driving his 2004 Chevy Trailblazer SUV on C.R. 210 when he crossed a double yellow line, hitting a 2000 Ford Explorer driven by David Lee Darnell, 39, of Atlantic Beach.

Darnell was killed. Toxicology results showed narcotics were found in McMullen's system.

The warrant for McMullen's arrest was issued Thursday, 10
months after the crash. He was booked into the Duval County Jail awaiting extradition back to St Johns County in lieu of a $150,000 bond.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A burglary suspect who struck a medical complex left behind some DNA evidence and a few pictures of himself; now police need to find him.

Man Convicted of Impregnating 13-year-old Stepdaughter

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A jury took less than two hours to determine that a 38-year-old man is guilty of sex offenses including impregnating his 13-year-old stepdaughter.

According to State Attorney's Office spokesperson Klare Ly, Douglas Wayne Hall was living with the victim's mother from 1999 to 2009 and was acting as the victim's stepfather at the time.

The charges against Hall are detailed in a document from State Attorney R.J. Larizza.

Both charges accuse him of unlawful sexual activity with a child 12 or older but under 18, but are separated by the date range and the severity of the accusation.

The first charge is for the time frame from Jan. to August, 2007, and the second is from August 2007 to August 2009.

It is during the second time frame that the victim became pregnant, which, according to the warrant affidavit, was February or March 2008.

The victim miscarried the child.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Three males were captured after exchanging gunfire with one resident and hiding in the home of another.

According to St. Johns County Sheriff's Office spokesman Kevin Kelshaw, the incident began at 2:45 a.m. today at a home on S. Clay Street in West Augustine.

The homeowner told deputies he heard a noise and went to investigate when he was met by a male with a shotgun.

The suspect ordered the victim to the ground, but the victim took off running, when the suspect fired one shot, missing the victim, who proceeded to run to a neighbor's house and get a gun.

When he returned to his home, he reported seeing the three suspects running though a nearby yard, and he gave chase.

He said they each fired shots during the chase, but nobody was hit.

After the suspects got away, the victim returned home and called the sheriff's office.
