According to a police report from the St Johns Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an armed robbery last Wednesday that left one victim with a broken nose, “possibly causing permanent disfigurement.”
According to a release from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Chuck Mulligan, the sheriff’s office is investigating an armed robbery at a Denny’s restaurant on State Road 16 that occurred shortly after 8:00p.m. last Wednesday evening.
A man robbed the Kangaroo convenient store at 800 South Ponce De Leon Blvd. early this morning, according to a news release from the St. Augustine Police Department.
The suspect had his face covered and said, “this is a robbery,” once inside the store, the report stated. Then, the man allegedly patted his front pocket and said he had a gun, and not to make him use it.
According to a police report from the St Johns Sheriff’s Office, a 20-year-old Palm Coast man is in custody charged with sexual battery upon a child younger than 12-years-old.
The report details Bradley Wes Calloway’s encounter with a child. According to a SJCSO report, Calloway allegedly carried his juvenile victim into his room, threw her on his bed and removed her clothing. Calloway is accused of attempting to have sex the youth, but was interrupted by a knock on his bedroom door.
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A recent burglary arrest served as a reminder from the sheriff's office to keep your vehicles and your valuables locked.
The investigation began Sunday just after 4 a.m. when the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about a vehicle burglary in progress on First Street, according to a news release from Sgt. Chuck Mulligan.
The victim saw the suspect, who fled the area before deputies arrived.
Other deputies approaching the scene, saw a vehicle leaving the area and made a traffic stop. The victim who saw the suspect recognized the driver, identified by the sheriff's office as 21-year-old Jacob Alexander Grant, from St. Augustine.
The deputies continued their investigation and discovered additional similar burglaries in the area.
In each case, Grant is accused of entering unlocked vehicles and taking items that were in plain sight.
