Teen Accused in Snatch and Grab Robbery

According to a press release from St Johns County Sheriff’s Office public information officer, Kevin Kelshaw, a 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with a snatch and grab robbery that occurred just before noon today [Wednesday].

Sex Assault Suspect Held Without Bond ‎

According to a press release from the St. Augustine Police Department’s public information officer Mark Samson, 52-year-old Hiram Kearse was arrested Monday by the US Marshalls Office Florida Regional Task Force. Kearse is charged with alleged sexual battery, according to Samson.

The release states Kearse is possibly involved in the sexual battery of a 33-year-old female victim while using or threatened to use a deadly weapon. Evidence collected at the crime scene as well as evidence collected at the Flagler Hospital Sexual Assault Unit was consistent with the victim’s story.

Kearse was booked into the St. Johns County Jail and has no bond while he awaits further court appearances.

Nicole Bush's family made another tearful plea for help in their daughter's murder case.

Ramone Gregory, Bush's brother in law asked for anyone who knows more information about the case to call the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.  Kimberly Gregory, Bush's sister stood crying next to her husband as he spoke.  Bush's two young boys now live with them in Tampa.

St. Augustine Man Accused Of Stealing from Blue Crab Traps ‎

Trevor Jones of St. Augustine was booked into the Putnam County jail Sept. 15, charged with theft from a blue crap trap, a third-degree felony. If convicted, Jones faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

 “Stealing from a commercial blue crab trap is a serious offense because it is interfering with a person’s livelihood,” said Lt. George Pottorf.

Juveniles Arrested in Connection With West Augustine Armed Robberies

St Johns County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a series of armed robberies to food delivery or taxi drivers that have occurred over the past year in the West Augustine area.

According to deputies, the most robberies occurred last month and have increased in severity as the suspects began brandishing firearms.

A 36-year old St. Johns County man was arrested early Thursday evening on a charge of an alleged sexual assault upon a child over the age of 12.

Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims’ Unit arrested the suspect,  Michael Sean Taylor.

Local Meth Raids Net Arrests, Children Removed from Home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Four apparent methamphetamine labs were raided this morning in an extended, multi-agency operation, resulting in eight arrests.

A mobile home in the first block of Bullrush Court in Middleburg was raided this morning, said Mary Justino, spokesperson for the Clay County Sheriff's Office.  Four people were arrested at the scene, and two of those people were taken to the Duval County jail and are facing federal charges, she said.

The other two, 38-year-old Jonathan Meyers and 33-year-old Jennifer Baggett, were taken to the Clay County jail where they will be held on local charges.

Two children were removed from the home.
