ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Nearly ten cars were burglarized on West Lymington Way late Monday night and early Tuesday morning.

According to a small stack of police reports from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, nine cars total were burglarized by a suspect who is unknown at this time.

Items taken include several iPhone chargers, multiple pairs of sunglasses, an iPod Nano, a digital camera, a car stereo, a GPS, some loose change and a Nintendo DSI and several games.

It seems locked cars did not deter the burglary suspect, as one victim’s convertible top was slashed in the process. Another victim’s passenger side window was smashed with a large tan brick, the reports state.

Most victims found the contents of their glove box and center console thrown on the front floor boards and front seats and the reports describes the vehicles as, “ransacked.”

An investigation is underway and blood and DNA samples were taken from multiple vehicles at the scene.  If you have any information, please contact the St. Johns Sheriff’s Office at 904-824-8304 or Crime Stoppers 888-277-8477.
