Man jailed in connection with alleged home invasion robbery

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A St. Johns County man is behind bars following an investigation into alleged armed home invasion robbery.

Delvin C. Anderson, 21, is accused of robbing a home in December while wearing a ski mask and pistol whipping an individual in the process, according to a report from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office. Delvin allegedly came in through an unlocked front door and demanded money and vehicle keys then fled, the report states.

Upon further investigation, the situation appeared to have been set up by a co-conspirator Sherell Junice Dillard, 26,  who is currently being held on a $150,000 bond in the St. Johns County Jail. According to the report, Dillard sent a text to Delvin, “do you want to get this white boy he has 3 or 4 hundred,” which was interpreted to mean Dillard was tipping Anderson off to come rob the person she was with.

The victim sustained injuries that required him to be transported to an area hospital, the report details.

Anderson is currently being held in the St. Johns County Jail on a $350,000 bond.
