ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- St. Johns County deputies located a 31-year old St. Johns County man who fled from deputies following an alleged carjacking last week.

Marcus Bryant was located today in Duval County and taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal’s Service this morning.

Bryant was located  by the Marshal’s Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force at a residence in the 6100 block of Judy Dr., on the Westside of Jacksonville.

According to deputies, Bryant surrendered without incident and was transported to the Duval County Jail.

Bryant is facing outstanding charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery and resisting arrest without violence from an incident in early December. He is facing additional charges stemming from the incident last week.

Last Thursday afternoon St. Johns County Deputies spotted Bryant in the West Augustine area. As deputies approached, the suspect jumped in a vehicle with two occupants and allegedly ordered them at gunpoint to flee.

The investigation led deputies to recover the loaded gun believed to have been used in the carjacking as well as his clothing and a black bag belonging to Bryant at an apartment in the complex last Thursday night.
