ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The St. Augustine Police Department is asking for the public's assistance identifying a burglary suspect.

Early Tuesday morning an unknown suspect broke into the Welcome Food Mart in the 220 block of San Marco Avenue, according to a release from the St. Augustine Police Department.

The suspect allegedly broke into the store by climbing through the roof air conditioning duct. Once inside Welcome Food Mart, the suspect was caught on surveillance video attempting to break into an ATM machine.

The suspect was unsuccessful and tried to leave the business by prying open the front doors. Again, the suspect was unsuccessful and ended up breaking a glass window to exit, cutting his arm in the process.
