Pumpkin Patches Prepare First Coast For Halloween | Community Spirit
Fall has made a chilly arrival across the First Coast. With the arrival of October came the local Pumpkin Patches and the Halloween Attractions. Pumpkin patches and Halloween decorations are beginning to pop up all across the area and the is Oldest City gearing up for this spooky traditional holiday.
Children and adults alike enjoy the festivities of Halloween in the month of October. Everyone enjoys getting creative and dressing up in interesting and elaborate costumes. The children dress up go trick-or-treating in hopes of making out with lots of candy. The big kids go to the different costume contests at different locations and bars across the city in hopes of cashing in on their creative costumes. It is a great time for everyone in the Oldest City.
Many people decorate their yards and create haunted houses to keep the holiday as spooky as possible. One of the most creative and hands on way to celebrate, and decorate, is by carving pumpkins.
In down town St. Augustine and all across the area the Pumpkin patches are loading up on pumpkins to get ready for the holiday.
The pumpkin patch shown in the pictures seen with this story are located in Downtown St. Augustine. They had a great variety of pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors. The pumpkins varied in price by size, and this patch appeared to have a great variety of different pumpkins.
Halloween will be here before we know it. It is important to remember to keep your children safe, carving pumpkins and trick-or-treating.
Make sure to have lighting for yourself and the children, flashlights and glow sticks are a popular and inexpensive way to stay well lighted.
