The Scenic & Historic A1A Corridor Management Council and the St. Johns County Growth Management Department will hold a final public workshop on Monday, March 14th at 2 pm at the Southeast Branch Library located at 6670 US 1 South in St. Augustine. The workshop will discuss the design of the historic Windswept Motel sign and the location of three National Scenic Byway educational interpretative signs, all of which are being funded through a National Scenic Byway grant. This is the last of the two public meetings to discuss signs before they are constructed on site. The first meeting was held on February 23rd.

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam continued his crackdown against unlicensed telemarketers last week, shutting down firms in several southwest Florida counties.

Investigators from the Department’s Division of Consumer Services, in partnership with the Department’s Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement, conducted inspections in Sarasota, Manatee, Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties.

The St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park is proud to announce the opening of its newest exhibit, an animated group of red ruffed lemurs. The Alligator Farm will offer a sneak peek at the new lemurs for Zoo members and Facebook friends on Thursday, March 10 at three different times: 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Members of the press are invited to the 3:00 p.m. showing to catch the first glimpse of this exciting new exhibit.
