The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce welcomes Norman Gregory to the position of Vice President of Economic Development.  In his role, Gregory will be responsible for implementing the tactical work plan related to the Chamber’s goals for Economic Development. Those goals are focused on increasing employment totals, average wages and commercial tax base within St. Johns County.

In addition, Gregory will work closely with St. Johns County, the Industrial Development Authority (IDA), Cornerstone Regional Economic Development Partnership, Enterprise Florida and other partners in economic development.

Gregory is no stranger to the St. Johns County of Chamber. He served as the volunteer Chairman of the Economic Development Council (EDC) in 2003.

“Norman has over 20 years of experience in the Northeast Florida real estate industry,” said Kirk Wendland, president of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce.  “His expertise in the field of commercial real estate and his past involvement with the EDC will provide a strong foundation for the creation and implementation of our economic development strategy.”

In addition, Gregory has served the Northeast Florida region through various leadership roles, working with organizations such as Northeast Florida Association of (Realtors Board of Directors), Florida Commercial Alliance of Realtors (Past Chairman), CCIM Northeast Florida (Past President), First Coast Real Estate Outlook Conference (Past Chairman), and Jacksonville Community Council, Inc. (JCCI), to name a few.

Gregory graduated with a B.S. in Commerce and Business Administration from The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, and later earned his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. He has worked and lived in the Northeast Florida region for the past 25 years and currently resides in St. Johns County’s Northwest area of Switzerland. Gregory is married to his college sweetheart, Lenora Smith, and they have two sons: N. West Gregory, 31, an attorney for Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Ethan W. Gregory, 29, a residential real estate broker with First Coast Real Estate.
