ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- I was not nervous about getting on the brightly painted, red and yellow speed boat.  I was worried about my camera.

I was onboard El Conquistador Thursday trying out the newest attraction to hit the water near St. Augustine.

The boat had it's official ribbon cutting that morning and invited the media for a spin.  So I climbed in, camera in my lap, ready to capture the experience as best I could.

We started out slow, listening to a narrator explain some of the history of the nation's oldest port.

Then the boat's captain turned to me with an inquisitive thumbs up, asking if I was ready.  I gave him a thumbs up and before he even turned completely foreward again, we were off.

It was not the easiest adventure to get on tape.  It is hard enough holding a camera steady on dry land, let alone a speeding boat.

But it was worth it.

I got to see some of the area's most recognizable landmarks from a completely different perspective and I got to ride in a big, red speed boat.

They even took my picture to prove it.
