Bon Beer Voyage, a specialty tour company for craft beer enthusiasts run by a Florida couple, will be hosting the old city’s first-ever St. Augustine, Florida Weekend Beer Safari September 23-25, 2011. Rates for the weekend tour are specially priced at $475 per person double occupancy and $575 per person for single occupancy.
This tour through the country’s oldest city will include visits and tastings in a host of special settings. Included are a visit to the brewery and a chance to meet and talk with the brewer at A1A Ale Works, two beer-paired dinners, a beer-paired lunch prepared by a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef, a gourmet cupcake and beer pairing, a private chocolate factory tour of Whetstone Chocolates with a beer-paired chocolate sampling, accommodations in downtown St. Augustine, a guided tour of the city’s historic district, two breakfasts, 2-day trolley passes and other surprises. Transportation to and from St. Augustine is the responsibility of the participants.
“This tour is just going to be fun from beginning to end,” said Ruth Berman, CEO and BBB (brains beyond the beer) of Bon Beer Voyage. “In addition to guided tours, we are hosting a scavenger hunt so the guests will have a really fun and unique way to get to know St. Augustine. We will be making a donation to the winner of the scavenger hunt’s favorite charity, so it’s all for a good cause. It’s going to be a great weekend all around.”
Bon Beer Voyage’s other upcoming tours include an Amsterdam to Bruges Beercation Cruise with Beer Advocate founders Jason and Todd Alstrom in October.
