The following is a list of roadwork underway by FDOT that may impact traffic in Putnam and St. Johns counties through Jan. 21. 

ST. JOHNS COUNTY

SR 206 at the Crescent Beach Bridge:  Lane closures will occur Monday, Jan. 17 through Sunday, Jan. 23 for offloading materials and equipment and to clean and paint the bridge.  For updates to the bridge closure schedule and map of the detour, visit www.nflroads.com/goto/206bridge. To be added to our daily e-mail update list, send an e-mail to sdmancil@pbsj.com. No bridge closures allowed 6-9 a.m. and 3-6:30 p.m.

King Street (SR 5A) from the San Sebastian River to East of Malaga Street: Eastbound King Street has been closed to through traffic between Malaga Street and the San Sebastian Bridge to install a new drainage system beneath the roadway.  Eastbound traffic is detoured at US 1 to West Castillo Drive to State Road A1A to Cathedral Place to Cordova Street and back to King Street.  Westbound traffic is not detoured and can still use King Street.  The detour is scheduled to remain in place for approximately 3 months (April).  Malaga Street is also closed at King Street, and will remain closed through the end of the week. 

SR A1A (Summer Haven Bridges just north of Marineland): Daytime flagging operations at the south bridge for delivery and setting of beams and at the north bridge in preparation of a traffic shift.  Traffic will be shifted slightly west onto the new lanes of the north bridge on Tuesday, Jan. 18, so crews can begin constructing the east side of the new bridge. 

 

SR 13 from Racetrack Road to Cunningham Creek Bridge: Daytime lane closures Monday, Jan. 17 through Friday, Jan. 21 for drainage repairs.

 

US 1 near the Duval County line (Nocatee Flyover Project): Single lane closures in each direction to complete median and shoulder work.

 

CR 13 at Sixteen Mile Creek (Gina Busscher: 800-749-2967):  Flaggers may briefly stop traffic to allow heavy trucks to enter and exit the area. Motorists should use caution.

 

Fruit Cove Road (CR 13B) Resurfacing from SR 13 South to SR 13 North (Gina Busscher: 800-749-2967): Daytime lane closures with flaggers directing traffic between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 17, through Friday, Jan. 21, for sidewalk and drainage work.

 

Pablo Road Bridge Replacement (Monica Reifeiss: 800-749-2967): Pablo Road remains closed until early 2011 for replacement with a new bridge.  Local traffic is being detoured westbound to Pablo Drive, Pablo Road, Ponte Vedra Boulevard, Miranda Road, San Juan Drive and back to Pablo Road.  Eastbound traffic is being detoured to San Juan Drive, Miranda Road, Ponte Vedra Boulevard and back to Pablo Road.

 

SR 16 from Collins Ave. to N. First St.: Daytime lane closures between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. while crews pave a westbound left turn lane at the median opening just west of the Westgate Shopping Center and extend the eastbound turn lane into the Westgate Shopping Center.

 

 

PUTNAM COUNTY

SR 100 between the Clay County line and Airport Road: Daytime lane closures Monday, Jan. 17 through Friday, Jan. 21, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. with flaggers directing traffic in several locations along this 18-mile project.

 

US 17 in Bostwick near the Post Office: Northbound daytime lane closures to add a right turn lane.

 

US 17 from the Volusia County line to Landfill Road: Daytime lane closure to repaint the roadway lines and symbols.

 

US 17 at Browning Lane: Daytime lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to add a westbound left turn lane at Browning Lane in East Palatka.

 

SR 19 from the Marion County line to SR 100: Daytime lane closure to repaint the roadway lines and symbols.

 

SR 20 from the Alachua County line to Interlachen: Daytime lane closure to repaint the roadway lines and symbols.
