St. Augustine Restaurants Raise $13K for Boys & Girls Club

The St. Augustine Independent Restaurant Association recently held its first annual food and wine festival to benefit THE PLAYERS Championship Boys & Girls Club in St. Augustine. The event, which featured more than 100 wines and food from 15 restaurants at The Council on Aging’s River House, raised $13,692 for the Club and hosted more than 300 enthusiastic guests.

Participating restaurants included Amici, Cafe Atlantico, Zhanras, Purple Olive, Cap’s on the Water, Creekside Dinery, Culinary Outfitters, Gypsy Cab Company, Kingfish Grill, Barnacle Bill’s, The Reef, The Raintree, Salt Water Cowboys, South Beach Grill and The Tasting Room. Event sponsors included St. Johns Food Service, SYSCO Jacksonville, Kresge, Platt & Abare, The Bailey Group and The Garden.

Proceeds from the event will be used to extend programs and services to children in the West St. Augustine community through The PLAYERS Championship Boys & Girls Club.
