Nov. 22nd is Day of Thanksgiving and Remembrance at Landrum Middle School

The Landrum Middle School's IMPACT Club will host their 3rd annual Day of Thanksgiving and Remembrance on Monday, November 22nd.

The community is invited to come to the back field of the school and walk a lap past names of family and friends who have battled cancer and also those who have served in the military.

The event runs from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The day was conceived by Dean Sherri Anthony. She lost her both of her parents to cancer in the mid '90's. Anthony's dad fought in WWII.

Each year names are placed on stakes around the school's track. T-shirts are sold to the students  in different colors to represent different First Coast Charities.

The money raised is donated to those charities which include The Donna Foundation and Wounded warriors.
