Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred early Saturday evening in Orangedale. Deputies responded to the area shortly after 6:00 p.m. when the suspicious incident was

reported. Three young girls and a female teenager were in the 300 block of Shady Oak Cr., when a male and female drove up in a small blue car. The male subject asked the girls if they wanted some chocolate and advised that if they did they would need to get into the
vehicle. The girls, two age six, and one 9 and the other 14 years old refused to approach the vehicle which then left the area. The female passenger was described as a white female in her late 20’s to early 30’s with light colored shoulder length curly hair. The driver was
described as a white male in his 30’s with brown hair and thin lips. He was wearing a blue t-shirt.

The vehicle was a small blue car that was possibly a hatchback or small station wagon and that had not been seen in the neighborhood before by the girls. It is unknown on the intention of the two and detectives would like to question them. Anyone with any
information concerning these individuals is asked to contact Detective Russ Martin at the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office at (904) 824-8304. You can also remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward by Calling CrimeStoppers of N.E. Florida at 1-(888)
